Why is hypnotherapy an effective intervention?
Hypnotherapy is an effective method for smoking cessation because it enables access to the subconscious mind where habits are deep-seated and it gives the opportunity to have them reframed and eliminated.

Our aim is to empower the client not only to quit but to remain a non-smoker. Reducing the stress, strengthening the confidence and motivation of the client are the key factors for success. Hypnotherapy has the highest success rate compared to other approaches and significantly reduces withdrawal symptoms.
Hypnotherapy helps people to reframe their perception of smoking, weakens their desire to smoke and strengthens their intent to stop. When a person starts smoking the body is distressed, but repeating the action for long enough makes it automatic and the unconscious part of the mind takes over the process and learned behaviour is created.

- Break free from addiction
- Change the habitual behaviours
- Take back control of your life
- Live longer
- Save £1000’s every year
- Give your health a boost
Every smoker has two conflicting impulses: one part of the person, which is concerned about the health and wants to stop, and another part, which wants to keep the habit and will always find reasons for that. Sometimes the habit is so strong that the smoker believes that it can’t be broken. However, with the right help, this is simply not true.
Hypnotherapy for stop smoking research
Empirical evidence proves that using hypnosis, especially in combination with other psychological tools such as NLP and CBT is effective and it has the highest success rate compared to other approaches. This is due to the fact that hypnotic interventions are generally effective for habit control.
Elkins and Rajab’s (2004) conducted a study, where the success rate after using hypnotherapy was three times higher compared with the control group. At least six months of abstinence are required for a smoking cessation method to be regarded as efficient.
A trial conducted by the American College of Chest Physicians (2007) also verified the benefit of using hypnotherapy. More recent findings from Glickman-Simon and Savasta’s study (2014) of treating 122 participants with smoking-related diseases confirmed the higher success rate of Hypnosis versus Nicotine Replacement Therapy alone. Hypnotherapy enables a process of smoking cessation, which eases the stress, the dramatic withdrawal symptoms and the gaining of weight.
