Infertility is solvable with Hypnotherapy
Fertility testing and treatments are emotionally and often financially debilitating, with each treatment for infertility there is hope and anticipation that this time it will work. With each failed treatment there is a growing fear, disappointment, and frustration, which puts a great deal of stress on couples with fertility issues. Stress has been identified as a major causative factor in infertility

Infertility has been considered mainly a physiological issue, however, more recent studies support the idea that mind-body connection is a fundamental part of the conception process (Allen, 2012). Continuous exposure to psychological stress can impair fertility and reduce the efficiency of assisted reproductive treatments such as In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF).
The longer a couple has been trying unsuccessfully to conceive the more stress they experience. Stress provokes a fight or flight response, which results in contraction of the body muscles and release of stress hormones (e.g. cortisol, adrenaline). Energy is directed to areas of the body needed for the actual fight or flight response and away from organs and systems that the brain considers less important, the reproductive system is one of the later.
Hypnotherapy is a very efficient way to release stress and to enable conception. Couples may approach hypnotherapy as a substitute for infertility treatment or as a complement to it. Hypnotherapy promotes deep relaxation, which significantly decreases muscle tension and improves the chance for conception.

The importance of mind-body connection has been recognised and more people now choose hypnotherapy as a method of enabling conception. My aim as a hypnotherapist is to help a couple get through this experience and conceive, but also to remain connected, healthy and happy in the process.
